Each chapter has a real life story, a story from the life of Jesus, a challenge for you to do, practical steps online to start ministries for the certain area, and a prayer.
Do Something!: Make Your Life Count by Miles McPherson
Some of the real life stories are pretty miraculous and not very common, and others are things you could see everyday if you were to look in the right or wrong places. I did not loo In short this book is about being able to go out and help people through Christ either by what you have gone through or are passionate about. The overall lesson from the book is great, but each chapter is only 5 or 6 pages so there is not a lot of detail provided.
I would recommend this book if you would like to help others.
This Week's Making Your Life Count Programs
It is motivating. Feb 23, Mike Klein rated it really liked it. A shallow but good book to get one started on "doing something". There's some heartwarming stories that are nice and even one of them doesn't have a "happy" ending which was a pleasant surprise.
Ultimately one needs to go to the website to dig deeper but a nice easy read. Apr 25, Susan rated it liked it.

Reading through with my church. On Chapter 6 so far I enjoyed the inspirational stories and attempted to apply some principles to my day to day Mar 06, Carol Abernathie rated it it was amazing. If you want to make your life count while binging glory to God but don't know how, this is a great place to start!

I had to stop reading this book after the author stated "If the Bible is reliable enough The okay parts of this book seem superficial and lacking real meat to chew on. Needless to say, I'm disappointed!
Jan 17, Sarom is currently reading it. I am just at the beginning of this book, and one of my goals this year is to be able to Do Something for my community by applying it through Christ. This book is a start because we are beginning a series at my church The Rock come next week about doing something Jul 14, Jennifer Drake Johnston rated it it was ok. Well, this book was really a 2 star for me all the way through the final chapter Rico which I did find compelling, challenging and insightful.
That chapter and ending make it a "Liked" for me. Jan 21, Sanchia Goosen rated it it was ok. A bit too American, but some interesting concepts and inspirational stories.
